Created
in 1990, the Institut Psychanalyse
& Management (IP&M) is an independent non-profit
organisation which is hosted by the Montpellier Graduate School
of Management, France. IP&M wants to open and develop a new
field for Research and Consulting building on the insights of
psychoanalysis.
IP&M's
membership includes psychoanalysts, psychologists, doctors,
consultants, teachers, searchers, executives and senior managers.
They all feel deeply concerned by the innovating and complex
articulation between "P" and "M". At the French national level,
working groups have been constituted on different topics: professional
stress, pleasure and suffering at work, dependency, entrepreneurship,
social and intrapsychic conflict…One of the main goals of these
groups is to share members' experiences and professional practices.
IP&M
is also a place for exchanging and confronting ideas, approaches,
practical experiences and intellectual origins. Every year,
the members choose a theme. It is then studied yearly in a two-days
national conference.

As
a research laboratory, the IP&M is editing scientific publications
and organising conferences where the articulation between
Psychoanalysis and Management is studied. Open and eclectic,
our institute is also organising thematic meetings where
well-known experts are invited.
Addressing
needs of private companies or other professional organisations,
the IP&M can accompany and help organisational change efforts.
Our network offers social audit, coaching, action training,
Balint groups or other methodologies. We can also conduct
studies or create original methodologies when necessary.
Each member of IP&M's network is proud to respect a strict
deontology:
-
Personal psychoanalytical work which guarantees the ethic
and insights of the analysts' listening.
- A concrete knowledge of companies rules and organisational
realities.
- An interdisciplinary team approach.
